Home Is Burglarized While Resident Sleeps
An investigation was initiated last week after a Lawrenceburg woman reported that her home had been burglarized while she slept.
The victim, age 22, reported that she had come home around 8:00 a.m. and went to bed. She told officers with the Lawrenceburg Police Department that when she awakened around 10:45 a.m. she discovered that someone had moved her wallet.
The victim told deputies that before she went to bed she laid her wallet on a table beside the front door. When she awakened, she said the wallet had been moved across the room.
Although the wallet was still there, she said that her checkbook, Social Security card, and $230 cash were missing.
The victim told officers that she was certain she had locked the door after arriving home. Investigation in the matter is on-going.
